Smoke

This is an ad that is brining the negative risks of cigarettes to the viewer’s attention. I feel that the designer portrayed this concept in an extremely creative and effective way.

For this ad, I feel as if the designer used Photoshop in order to alter the smoke. In order to do this so effectively, I feel as if the designer used a combination of the brush tool, liquefy tool, Gaussian blurs, in order to get a highly effective and convincing smoke rope.

For this ad, I feel that the author was very successful in the design element: line. Not only is it the lines of this image that truly make it unique and complete, but it is also the type of line. With the line varying in opacity, thickness and direction the designer created a very realistic looking smoke line.
